Update....Sorta

Well, where do I start after four long months of blog inactivity? Landon 12 years old and knows everything. He tells me that all the time. "Mom, I don't need to go to soccer practice, I already know everything." He is doing great at school and has some awesome friends that we can't say enough about. That means you Sammy, Luke, Matt! He is in sixth grade and it seems that all of my kids here recently have discovered that they are now the judge of how sick they are and if it's worth the massive amounts of make-up work they will have if they miss school. It seems it always is. Soccer is this kids game. He is amazing and plays...everywhere. He is shorter than most of the other players which I tell him just makes him unstoppable because he's quick. That's my boy...oh wait, I was always the kid who tripped on the ball when I tried to kick it! Hailey is in third grade and was approved just last night for her first real "sleep-over" She and McKenna had a great time. Can I just say what a comfort it is to have a mom as protective as me watching out for my kiddo! She is my little money saver and whenever she does decide to spend some of her long held dinero, comes home with a treat for her brother and sisters too. She just finished her very first season of basketball. I know what you're thinking. ?????? She was AWESOME! She was the most aggressive defender they had. She would attack that mid court line the minute the other team crossed it and jumped at em like a cat every time she could. She actually scared some kids...Hailey! Her teammates called her "the machine" because she would never stop. Defending, taking the ball, and making shots. That's my girl...Oh wait, I was terrible at basketball too! Abby is such a little pistol. She is in second grade and has a very hard time understanding the importance of homework. Her grades are "A's when mom demands to make sure her work is complete. Unfortunately, she rarely thinks that is important either. She sure loves to read though! She is also my little Sabbath day tracker. "Mom, are we supposed to do that on Sunday?" Well, we'll see. Ireland.....OMGOSH! What a little stink pot. She cracks me up. The other night while holding a necklace and cupping it in her hands like dice, she says, "Cmon, mama needs a new pair of shoes!" What the...I promise we are not a gambling family, but who knows where her mind is. She also convinced me that she swallowed money, "and now, it's stuck in my brain." I have no idea where this child gets her ideas, but they're always funny. She loves to go, no matter where it is and runs to the door saying, "I wanna go" whenever anyone leaves...even if it's a friend who has come to visit. Shem is still working with chocolate. He loves that he gets to do something different every day and shares his successes (and irritations) when he gets home. It seems like between scouts, EQ teaching and all the kids games, he is the best and most supportive man EVER! I received a new calling. RS presidency. Again...What the...Well, it was our first Sunday today as a new presidency and I loved it. My kiddos and hubby keep me busy and I wouldn't have it any other way. I apologize for the boring update, but today it's for my journal. :-P
