Sunday after conference we had a little get together with about 5 other couples. Nice dinner and conversation and a ton of hilarious stories. We had so much fun that we decided for family night we would do it again and go out to the corn maze. So 3 of the 5 couples met and drove out to the corn maze so we could spend the evening lost and cold wandering around in some farmers corn field. It was so much fun. Surprisingly, Shem and the other boys decided it would be a lot of fun to start pulling the corn off the stalks and chucking them at each other as some sort of war. Then came the little individual pieces of corn being thrown up in the air so that the rest of the time we were lost in the maze, we were rained upon by little kernels of corn. The kids loved it! AHH, small town entertainment..and I would have it no other way.
The following Saturday, my Mom came to stay with the children so that Shem and I could attend a session at the Denver Temple. What a day. We served as the witness couple which was a lot of fun, and had a great day being together. A day in the temple with my sweet husband....I have been smiling ever since. After we left, we had a nice meal at Cheesecake and had a nice drive home. I can't wait to do it again....
On a little side note, do you know how much fun it is just to order for yourself?? To order without saying chicken strips or mac and cheese?? Try it..Wow!
