August 17, 2007

Two of my children have started school with the third starting next Tuesday. Can you believe it?! Hailey started on Thursday at a Charter school and couldn't be more thrilled. The only problem we are having at the moment is that she gets mad at me every morning because I tell her it's not time for school yet. Shem came home yesterday so that we could take her to her first day together. For the record, she kept yelling, "Bye, Mom, Dad's here!" Her only concern was that Daddy take her to and from school. He is all she wanted. Maybe some people would be upset by this, but let explain a little something. The quicker my children fall in love with Daddy (which never takes long), the easier my life becomes as shouts from the bathroom emerge, "No, I want Daddy to wipe me" to ,"I had a bad dream Daddy." If you're smart, you should start teaching,"dada" from birth. You can rest assured that in the wee hours as the call comes for "DADDY", you can roll over and say lovingly, "they want you."

Landon started school this morning at PWE. His teacher is new to our school and she seems like a wonderful lady. He was so excited, and he even admitted, "just a little nervous.' I think it may be more than just a little as I had the hardest time getting him to go to sleep last night. Both children said as I was leaving, "I'm gonna have fun." What a great way to leave your children knowing they are ready to have a great day. It's been hard to be without them, and will be even harder next week as I will actually have about two hours every Tuesday and Thursday where they will all be in classes. I won't be lonely I'm sure because I volunteer in all of their classes, but it will still seem so strange.

I am officially 8 weeks along today. All is still going well, so wish us luck.
